Dick, don't know the source, but I figured you would do your own research. I was told it was compiled from Google searches.

REFLECTIONS FROM THE "WALL". I am a monument to a black period in this country's history.I am the Vietnam wall., composed of two angled granite walls, inscribed with the names of fifty-eight thousand, one hundred thirty-four American men and women who died in hell (that was Vietnam) Many people come to see me. strangely they come mostly in silence-old people, young people, children, mothers, fathers, widows, and veterans. all for reasons of their own. they bring gifts, pictures, letters, flowers, poems and cigarettes. the letters speak of grief loneliness and regret. they ask for forgiveness. They are an outpouring of pain. the people softly touch the names on my face. they water my grass with tears. then they leave in silence and I hope in peace. for I am more than two stone walls.I am a thank you from a nation that forgot. I am a long past due apology. I am healing for wounds too long left untended. I am a tribute paid to fallen warriors. I AM THE VIETNAM WALL. "America has forgotten the wars. Will she remember her warriors"? You may be gone, BUT YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN. RHS CLASSMATES NAMES ARE ON THE WALL

BILL, thanks for the post, I have been to the Wall on  numerous occasions and always

Found the visitors courteous, reverent, and somber. There are way to many great names on it and they should be remembered as heroes and have our gratitude. three of my friends from Basic Training are on it.

Thanks again Bill

The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office. The auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney.

The auditor said, “Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, Which you explain by saying that you win money gambling. I’m not sure the IRS finds that believable.”

“I’m a great gambler, and I can prove it,” says Grandpa. “How about a demonstration?”

The auditor thinks for a moment and said, “Okay. Go ahead.”

Grandpa says, “I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.”

The auditor thinks a moment and says, “It’s a bet.”

Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it. The auditor’s jaw drops.

Grandpa says, “Now, I’ll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.”

Now the auditor can tell Grandpa isn’t blind, so he takes the bet. Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye.

The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Grandpa’s attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

“Want to go double or nothing?” Grandpa asks. “I’ll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.”

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there’s no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again.

Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can’t make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he ends up urinating all over the auditor’s desk.

The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win. But Grandpa’s own attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

“Are you okay?” the auditor asks.

“Not really,” says the attorney. “This morning, when Grandpa told me he’d been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and pee all over your desk and that you’d be happy about it!”

My bro-in-law is now at the Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.  Back in May, the traveling wall along with the Patriot Guard Riders came through and and set the wall up in the parking lot of the home for a couple of days.

A lot of the veterans finally had a chance to say goodbye to some friends  or family members.

true story that makes me laugh and shake my head. We live in Rancho and the door-to-door solicitors here are as thick as thieves. Sometimes 4 a day on weekends. So I put up a "No Soliciting" sign in 2 places. Not an hour later a 20-something dude knocks on the door. I say, "Didn't you read the sign?," and point at it. He says, "I'm not smoking." I said, "It has nothing to do with smoking." He replied, "Then what does it mean?" I patiently said, "It means do not knock and try to sell me anything." He looked at me blankly and said, "I don't smoke I vape.," and proceeded to show me his vape. I finally get through to him what it means and he walks away. Next day another 2 people knock on my door. Same thing, "We're not smoking." Now I see why California is last in education.

Oh, he said it. Was on several sources--none of which you would trust.

The hypocritical dissembler in chief?

Thousands of Donald Trump's "God Bless the USA" Bibles — sold for $59.99 each — were printed in China.
