Bruce Benson
I decided to create a paper outlining some important economic facts that I discovered.
Many years ago an old mentor of mine, Jack Danials of Hobbs, NM, pointed out to me that, all B.S. aside, one party just runs things better than the other. Perhaps this proves his point.

- Average annual GNP growth: 2.53%
This summary provides a clear overview of economic performance metrics associated with each presidential term and highlights trends within each political party.
All of the Democrats, except LBJ (who benefited from JFK’s economic recovery efforts), walked into office in the midst of either an economic downturn, slow economy, stagflation, near monetary collapse or near total economic shutdown. The last two situations were certainly the worst and those two recoveries have been remarkable. All Democratic Presidents, except perhaps Carter (who left it about the same), departed office with the economy in better shape than their Republican predecessor left it for them.
The facts are out there. I am not willing to be swayed by lies of any politician, Web site or political TV network.
