Good morning, Bill.

Glad to hear you back home.  A heart stint? That will let the blood keep flowing.

Keep the jokes flowing and never lose that sense of humor.

THE GOOD NEWS IS I GOT 95% OF THE WORK DONE.  ALSO 99% OF MY PROJECTS COMPLETED.

I AM A TYPE 2 . I KNOW HOW TO WATCH WHAT I EAT, ETC. THEY GAVE ME A 5 MG TABLET.  I TOLD THEM THAT WAS TO MUCH. A FEW HOURS LATER WHEN THE DOCTOR, WAS DOING PAPERWORK TO CHECK ME OUT. WELL, THEY FOUND OUT THE TRUTH.

MY OWN, DOCTOR KNOWS WHEN TO LISTEN TO ME, ABOUT MEDS. I TAKE.

Bill--good to see you back in action.

I'll bet several of us know people who had a stent placed, maybe even some of us have one or more. I have heart problems, and it is scary, but medicine today is quite remarkable, and still improving as novel research pores in. When I travel now, I must take 2 suitcases along. One for clothes and such and one to carry my pharmaceuticals.

So, good news about your health and I'm sure glad you're back at it.

And thanks for managing the website.

Dick, I understand an extra suitcase to carry for the pharmaceuticals and the CPAP machine.

Bill, when I went in to supposedly get 3 stints, I found out at that time the new procedure was in the hand. I agree with you about much easier. However, the doctor stopped the procedure and rescheduled for the three bypass surgery.  Now I have a railroad track running down my chest. Feeling great though. Hang in there, you are a tough one.

Dick, if I ever think I want to feel sorry for myself, get down low, and say "Why me", I lift my head up and think of a few of my aged friends that cannot walk or feed themselves, my classmates that never complain of their adversities, and look at the brand new day our Maker has provided.  Goodness, there is nothing wrong, look at all the friends enjoying the life they have and all the beauty around us.  I feel better now.

Two nuns were shopping at a 7-11 store.

As they passed by the beer cooler, one nun said to the other, "Wouldn't a nice cool beer or two taste wonderful on a hot summer evening?"

The second sister answered, "Indeed it would, sister, but I would not feel comfortable buying the beer. I am certain it would cause a scene at the checkout."

"I can handle that without a problem," the first nun replied.

She picked up a six-pack and headed for the checkout.

The cashier had a surprised look on his face when the nun placed the six-pack of beer on the counter.

"We use the beer for washing our hair," the nun said. "Back at our convent, we call it our Catholic shampoo."

Without blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter, pulled out a package of pretzel sticks, and placed them in the bag with the beer.

He then looked the nun straight in the eyes and said, "The curlers are on the house!"

Dick - if this is what is in the border deal, I am not sure how anyone voted for it.  All this for $118 Billion

The Border Act would not secure the border. Among other weaknesses, it fails to provide a solution to the most serious problem, which is that Biden has released so many asylum seekers into the country that our asylum system has broken.

One of its other weaknesses is the provision that gives authority to shut down the border, which wouldn’t kick in until the seven-day average number of cumulative encounters with inadmissible migrants is between 4,000 and 5,000 per day. And it would be discretionary unless the seven-day average is above 5,000 per day.

In other words, the administration would have the discretion to catch and release up to 5,000 inadmissible migrants per day — almost 2 million per year.

Nova--better than what's going on now. A start. Of course, Trump does not want anything to pass so he can do it when elected. GOPers fear his wrath.

Ok, what does close the border ( or shut it down) actually mean? Close everything? Keep the current gates open for commerce but "close" the rest?  How?  The US imported a little more in goods from Mexico than China last year. (in $$$s).

Sorry Dick, but I have to agree with Nova on the immigration bill. $118B with only 19B for US borders. The rest goes to Ukraine and Israel. I realize we need to support Ukraine in their fight against Putin but we have a crisis here in the US and nothing is being done. The numbers that would be allowed into the country under the current Biden bill are detrimental to our border states. If you lived in one of these states, you would be able to see firsthand what we are dealing with on a daily basis. The mayor of New York started complaining when 15,000  immigrants showed up in the city. The state of Texas had over 350,000 in the last five months alone and no one can even begin to determine just how many have entered in the past 3 years. I've said all I'm going to say on this subject. Signing off!

Biden White House Demands Fox News Undo Its Coverage of Hunter Biden Bribery Allegation

In the aftermath of the arrest of a key member in the bribery charges against the Biden family, the White House is now requesting that Fox News withdraw its coverage of bribery claims against President Biden’s son, Hunter.

White House Special Assistant to the President Ian Sams attacked the network for airing and publicizing bribery allegations against the president’s son, calling the charges against Hunter Biden “false.”

“I would cite the number of times Jesse Watters and Sean Hannity promoted this allegation and made false statements about President Biden on primetime television throughout this time period, but the footnote citations would fill multiple pages,” Sams wrote in a letter to Fox.

“As you of course now know, the source of this allegation has been federally indicted for making the whole thing up. Despite this, Fox has taken no steps to retract, correct, or update its reporting on this false allegation from 2023.”
