Just asking?  But, does anyone know what a great thing we have on his Website?  Think about it....what is our common demominator...We lived in Roswell...Went to RHS before there was a Goddard HS.  We went to North, South, and later East Jr. Hi,before there was a Mesa and all schools were renamed.  Don't know where everyone iives today, but I'll bet it is not in Roswell.  But our Roswell experinece made us  each and everyone we care enough to come to this site and reminish (is this a word?) and bitch about common problems.  I  guess we are the senior student council!!! God grants us new life every day. Please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and propererous  New Year!  As I have said, strong letter to follow.

Yeah, Dick the weather at times is one of our biggest problems here in the South,we have had all the Tornadoes, Hurricanes, floods, etc., but when we have freezing weather with moisture it shuts down the whole state. I have lived here most of the time since I left Roswell, and I have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly here, but at this point in my life, I would not want to live anywhere else, just visits to other plsces

Rowland, I always like to hear other people’s point of view.  I have learned more from listening to people and their views than anywhere else.  No one has all the answers and the only way to expand your mind is to listen to others.  I may not always agree with other views but am aways willing to listen and learn.

Veterans receiving VA compensation benefits

New COLA rates for compensation are largest increase in over 30 years

COLA increase to compensation

It’s that time of year again. VA is increasing compensation payment rates based on the latest cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) announcement. Beginning Jan. 1, 2023, Veterans and beneficiaries who receive VA compensation benefits will see an 8.7% increase in their monthly payments—the largest increase in over 30 years.

The annual COLA increase is tied to the Social Security rate change and is based on the consumer price index (CPI). The CPI, provided by the U.S. Department of Labor, measures the average changes in cost for urban goods and services. The Department of Labor takes a snapshot of the costs of a select group of goods and services and compares those costs to the previous year. When there is an increase, those receiving benefits see a boost in their monthly payments for the upcoming year.

If you are receiving disability compensation benefits from VA, you can use VA disability compensation benefit rates tables to find your current monthly payment amount.

Which VA benefits increase?

This increase affects VA disability compensation, which provides monthly tax-free payments to Veterans who got sick or injured while serving in the military or whose service made an existing condition worse. If you have a physical ailment or mental health condition that developed during or after service, you may be eligible for disability compensation.

Nova, I think that was a compliment...If not, thanks anyway.  At this stage of our lives, if we do not "know" what we know then where have we been for almost 80 years?  But, I am always open to new suggestions.  For instance, as much as I love him, Trump will be a loser in 2024! Big yeahs to Dick!  The media will "destroy" whomever the "Rs" nominate.

Bill: Thanks for the information.  Our President took  "credit" for this increase about a month ago.  Social Securty went up, WHY, because his Inflation policies kicked in to force them!  Check it out!!!

Sorry to say, Dick, but your Montana D's, Tester is a good guy, will go down!  Did I forget to say a Very Happy New Year to All? Truly, and  sincerely!  For a better 2023!  Did I also forget to say, apologies for being so verbose!?  If I talk like this around the house, my dear, sweet wife tells me to "Shut up!"

Well, COLA on Social Security was impressive this year, it is a result of high inflation in our country. What happened when I received my projected income from SS is that Medicare Part A increased. Part B was increased due to adjustment for Gross Income on tax return. So I realized a negative $35 a month  no telling where I would be if not for the COLA increase. Happy New Year, everyone.

Rowland--you asked if reminish is a word.  It is now sir. smiley

Yet, I have to ask, what does it mean?  Is it a Texasism (is that a word?)? Attorney speak?

One reason I like Senator Tester is how he consistently supports our veterans. And agriculture.

Bill--Alabama and you are joined at the hip, as they say. I am pretty certain, old friend, you would not like living in MT --the football is not as good as the Camellia State.  When you came to visit us in Big Sky, it was summer and warm. And hey, as prevalent, very low humidity.    yes

Dick, I truly, truly want to be your friend.  But, let us agree to disagree, or maybe agree, that nothing you say will ever change my opinions...Yes, they are opinions!  Not facts. If either you or I could "tell" the other that something was a "fact", Then throw the Bible away because one of  us Is God!  Opinions are common wisdom that stands out over the ages.  Unfortunately, neither you nor I will live l long enough to know whose opinions are/were facts.  Essay on "Demoracy" to follow .

Religion

So I went to the liquor store and turned it into wine.

It's already documented that a study by the Food and Drug Administration confirms a link between blood clots and the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Embalmers across the country are reporting the emergence of bizarre "fibrous" clots in a substantial portion of their cases since the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Now, on social media, is confirmation that such clots are being found in those who have survived both the COVID-19 pandemic and being vaccinated.

A SCARY 😔
