Bill,

The Muppet joke is spot on and hilarious.

I am not sure who posts the wallpaper now, but It is quite timely.

I have always said, if you lose your sense of humor, you have lost it all, I try to live by that, some situations make it hard to keep it though 🤯

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW I POSTED THE WEB PAGE, as it fits, me to a T. many years ago yes  years ago I learned that in the military. Listens, Thinks, & Observers. I still do that today a lot.

1. Listen to what is being talked about/said.

2. Think about what is being said.

3. Observe what is going on around you, reference #1.

4. Be able to locate a safe place, or leave the area.

I question whether I still Listen, Think, and Observe. But I definitely go with Find a Safe Place.

Obituary RHS CLASS of 1964

WALKER, DAN “DANNY” H.- Danny passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, after an intense battle with cancer.

My husband and Josh's father will be missed in our lives more than we can guess, but he is now out of pain and talking hunting, fishing, and cars in heaven.

Dan started working for his Dad (Norman) in high school, this carried him in his life ending with a store of his own.

Many of you will remember his tales of hunting and fishing. The bucks got bigger and the fish were huge and fought hard. He was so proud when he got to teach his son new skills.

The following is something Danny wrote months ago for you to enjoy.

Howdy,

Always thought dying was supposed to be more about living so here goes.

I am Dan Hall Walker. Born 6-4-45 in Roswell at St. Mary's Hospital. Norman and Maxine Walker were my parents. Both have preceded me in death. Per my wishes I have been cremated and no services will be held.

Surviving me are my wife of 37 years, Ann, and son Joshua (Jayne). Sister Kay Peterson (Gene), and their children Pam (Billy) Horner and Mark (Nancy) Peterson plus three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Anne's sister Carol Brookins, kids Chuck and Debra Zeman. And lifetime friend Jim Raby.

Growing up in the 50's was very idealistic. We didn't expect entertainment to be provided, we provided our own.

No locked doors on vehicles or in homes. No 7-11 so if Mom was short something while cooking she would just go next door to borrow it and leave a note.

Mom used to cut up chicken, chop eggs and spread mayo on our sandwiches on the same cutting board using the same knife, but we didn't get food poisoning. Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper and put in a paper bag (no ice) but we didn't get E. coli.

I thought I was supposed to accomplish something before I could be proud of myself. We played King of the Hill. If we got hurt, we got mercurochrome on the spot. No trip to emergency room. No suit to sue the contractor for leaving a horrible vicious pile of gravel.

Love to all of us who shared this era and to all that didn't sorry for what you missed.

No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for goodbye.

Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go.

Good night David

Good night Chet

Have you ever noticed how Old Guys like to helpwink

Two guys, one old, one young, are pushing their carts around Wal-Mart when they collide.

The old guy says to the young guy, "Sorry about that. I'm looking for my wife, and I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

The young guy says, "That's OK, it's a coincidence I'm looking for my wife too...

I can't find her and I'm getting a little desperate."

The old guy says, "Well, maybe I can help you find her...  what does she look like?"

The young guy says, "Well, she is 27 yrs. old, tall, with red hair, blue eyes, is buxom..wearing no bra, long legs, and is wearing short shorts. What does your wife look like?'

To which the old guy says, "Doesn't matter, --- let's look for yours."

Thank you for the wonderful gift from Don. He had such courage to write that. Also, Nova I needed the laugh that followed.

Rest in peace Dan. Thanks for the laugh Nova. I'll get my second Covid shot on the 9th of March. How is everyone else doing on that front? Here in Utah it still is cold, but sounds like a warm up is coming. We have snow in the mountains, but not too much down low. I hope everyone of our classmates are healthy and happy. Thanks for all the posts and this site. Stay safe. JOHN

Rest in peace, Danny. Our memories of growing up in Roswell are the same. Deepest condolences to the family.

John,

I got my second shot two weeks ago, through the VA. Jeannie is scheduled for her second one on St. Patrick's Day. We have a pretty good vaccination setup here, thanks to the Governor, you just have to be persistent to get scheduled.

With all of your snow there, I guess I shouldn't brag about the golf, picklelball, dancing, shuffleboard and bocci ball we have been playing down here, but I think I just did. Everything is closer to being normal, we have even gone out to restaurants a couple of times in the last month. Of course we are still wearing masks and safety distancing when we are inside. Hope everyone stays safe. God Bless the USA.

Nelson, congrats on the second covid vaccination shot.

Linda and I received our Monday, March 1. Then I finally got the MRI I wanted on my right shoulder. Waited 30 years for a physician to schedule.  Now, wait for the reports.

Needless to say, with the rt shoulder, I have not been on the golf course. Having withdrawals.

Everyone have happy healthy days and get your vaccine shots.

An old married couple no sooner hit the pillows when the old man passes gas and says, 'Seven Points.' His wife rolls over and says, 'What in the world was that?' The old man replied, 'It's fart football.'

A few minutes later his wife lets one go and says, ‘Touchdown, tie score…’

After about five minutes the old man lets another one go and says, ‘Aha. I’m ahead 14 to 7.’

Not to be outdone the wife rips out another one and says, ‘Touchdown, tie score.’

Five seconds go by and she lets out a little squeaker and says, ‘Field goal, I lead 17 to 14.’ Now the pressure is on for the old man.

He refuses to get beaten by a woman, so he strains real hard.

Since defeat is totally unacceptable, he gives it everything he’s got, and accidentally poops in the bed.

The wife says, ‘What the hell was that?’

The old man says, “Half time, switch sides”

I received word that another classmate, Howard Shanks passed away this morning.  In the early 80s Howard managed the Ruidoso State Bank in Capitan and I worked for him. If anyone wants to send condolences to his wife they can be sent to Mary Shanks and family, 1707 Bayou Bend Lane, Katy, TX 77493.  Howard and Mary have two sons.
