YOU GET NEWS THAT A CLASSMATE HAS PASSED AWAY

Which is sad, some you remember, others only in passing.

You look at the IN-MEMORY SECTION, the sad part is that there are no information (Obit) about them. Just a date & Photo. Others Names listed under DATE UN-KNOWN, which is sad.

It the same way on the 1963 web site. Also, on other sites.

After the passing of my wife last July, I got back in to updating the family tree. There are several sites that you can find information on. One is the Mormon site. Others I have used also. Have found information on several classmates a lot of times it only a date.

How to safely wear your mask

Summer is here, and the holiday weekend is ahead. If you’re thinking of joining others for a summertime celebration, it’s best to stay outdoors. Wearing a mask can also help protect you and others, especially if you can’t physically distance from those not in your household

Watch our video with tips on how to wear your mask

Bill I was not aware that your wife had passed away. My sympathy is with you. It is very difficult to get over the passing of a spouse. My prayers are with. On another note, I wish all of my classmates a safe and sane 4th of July. God Bless the USA!🇺🇸

It was very uneventful. Our city cancelled the fireworks display and then on the 4th rescheduled them back on. Lot of people missed them. But everything was fine. Usual number of dogs lost on that night but so far, the majority have been reunited with their owners. Still just hanging out here in New Mexico due to governor's shutdown. Stay healthy!

The Fourth was celebrated at home since all activities by the city, the harbor, and the college were canceled. However, we did have hotdogs, chili, potatoes salad, and chocolate cake. The evening was not quiet. Some neighbors and many further away, must have purchased the overflow of the city's big boomers.  The explosions echoed throughout our complex and keep us up until midnight.  At least we enjoyed the sounds of the fireworks.

Did you have and fireworks or events in your area?

Gary Price

I recently recalled this song, which I first heard in Fall 1957 as a 7th grader at South Junior High (during lunch-hour dancing in the auditorium).  We'd probably carpooled to school that day in Dick Storey's yellow-and-green 1953 Mercury.  https://youtu.be/ZQKxketbUDg

We had a quiet 4th of July.  There were a few fireworks displays in the area, but we watched the neighbors set a few off.  Still like to stay away from bid groups.  I get out for golf more than anything.

I was doing a bid on the computer for work and finishing it up when I saw the post from Gary on the song Black Slacks, which came out when I was at North Junior High.  So, I listen to Black Slacks on YouTube and end up listening to a long list of old songs.  60 minutes later I remember I have a bid to send out and return to work instead of listening to the good music.  Thinking of North Junior High and getting in trouble for putting taps on the heels of my shoes to make noise going down the hallway.  I think the principal enjoyed taking them off our shoes. I think the dress code was no taps and you had  to wear a belt.  Things were much simpler in the 50's.

Things were much more normal here. Love South Dakota.

We had a parade down Main Street in Deadwood. Lots of fireworks that night at various locations around Sturgis, Deadwood and Spearfish.

The biggest event in the area was on the 3rd, when President Trump spoke at Mount Rushmore and they had a very nice fireworks show.

You share a paternal-line ancestor with King Louis XVI.

The rule of France by men of the House of Bourbon began with King Henri IV in 1589 C.E. and continued until the beheading of his direct paternal descendant King Louis XVI in 1793. Several years ago, researchers analyzed a mummified head and a blood-soaked cloth that they believed might belong to the two kings, and concluded that the royal paternal line belonged to haplogroup G. In a more recent study, however, a different set of researchers tested three living men who are direct descendants of the Bourbon kings. Their efforts revealed that the male lineage of the House of Bourbon is actually a branch of haplogroup R-M405, from which your paternal line also stem

Marine dove and caught a child dropped from the balcony of a burning building

A former high school football player dove and caught a child dropped from the balcony of a burning building

As a teenager a decade ago at Kalamazoo Central High School in Michigan, Phillip Blanks was a star football player. Last week, his athletic instincts helped save a toddler from an apartment fire that killed the child’s mother.

Blanks, now 28 and a retired U.S. Marine, was at a friend’s apartment in Phoenix on Friday morning when he heard frantic screaming and a commotion. He immediately ran outside, barefoot, and saw the top floor of the apartment complex was ablaze and enveloped in smoke.

He looked up and saw a petrified woman on a third-floor balcony with a child. Flames quickly crept up behind her.

“People started yelling for the lady to throw her kids down,” Blanks said.

The mother dropped her son over the railing. As Blanks saw the small child falling, he dove forward, arms out.

“I immediately got tunnel vision of the baby and somehow managed to catch him,” Blanks said.

The wrenching video, captured on a cellphone, shows Blanks sprinting toward the 3-year-old child and diving to catch him mere milliseconds before the boy would have hit the ground.

Right after the child was safely in Blanks’s arms, he and neighbors wrapped the boy in a blanket and attempted to pacify him until the ambulance arrived a few minutes later.

Blanks said his time in the Marines, coupled with his athletic training as a wide receiver in high school and college, prepared him for this moment. The Marines taught him to “always be on high alert, not be complacent and to have discipline,” he said.

Blanks, who now works as a security guard, said protecting others is a natural instinct for him. In this case, it prevented a tragic situation from becoming even more horrific.

After the child’s mother — identified by local NBC affiliate 12NEWS as Rachel Long — 30, dropped her son from the balcony, she turned and went back into the burning apartment where her 8-year-old daughter was. Long never came out.

We have received several reports of a malicious website visitor filling out contact forms on iPlasmaCMS2 Websites from a person named "Mel" claiming your website is using their images and that you must "delete them NOW".

Do NOT click on the link!

This is a classic phishing scheme - the malicious actor wants the unsuspecting victim who receives the email to click on the link which goes to a Google Drive hosted file that if clicked can create serious vulnerabilities in the victim's device and/or network.

UPDATE - JUNE 29, 2020:  It is confirmed that this script is also targeting Forms on WordPress websites as well.  Thank you to the users who have contributed to this scam alert in our User Comments!

Ransomware Scheme Specifically Targeting iPlasmaCMS2 Website Administrators

The malicious actor is pretending to be a "Professional Photographer" or "Licensed Photographer" and going by the name "Mel" or "Melinda" with variations on the last name is using different fake email addresses and providing different fake phone numbers (generally with a '718' area code).

Once the recipient clicks the link it will take them to a file download that will allow the hacker to seize control of the user's device.  The hacker will then be able to hold the user's device hostage and demand a ransom or exploit access to the users' system leading to further damage, compromised accounts, or injection of worms (viruses that infect the host machine and use it to launch attacks on others).

Take a look at two almost identical messages sent through two completely different Website Contact Forms powered by Insercorp's proprietary Web Content Management System:

Hello there!

This is Melinda and I am a licensed photographer.

I was discouraged, frankly speaking, when I came across my images at your website. If you use a copyrighted image without my approval, you must be aware that you could be sued by the copyrigh owner.

It's illicitly to use stolen images and it's so disgusting!

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at REDACTED and my earlier publications to obtain evidence of my copyrights.

Download it right now and check this out for yourself:

<REDACTED>

If you don't remove the images mentioned in the document above within the next several days, I'll write a complaint against you to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn't work, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to report and sue you! And I will not bother myself to let you know of it in advance.

The hacker is trying to scare unsuspecting victims into clicking a link (which we have removed to prevent our readers from accidentally clicking it).  Now take a look at another report we received from a completely different client later in the same day:

Hello,

This is Melynda and I am a professional photographer.

I was confused, frankly speaking, when I came across my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without my consent, you need to be aware that you could be sued by the copyright holder.

It's against law to use stolen images and it's so filthy!

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at REDACTED and my earlier publications to obtain evidence of my legal copyrights.

Download it right now and check this out for yourself:

If you don't remove the images mentioned in the document above within the next few days, I'll write a complaint against you to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

Notice how the text of the messages are almost identical in every instance, with specific words substituted to prevent spam detection, such as replacing "licensed" with "professional", "against the law" with "illicitly", "disgusting" with "filthy".

After receiving multiple reports in the last 24 hours from iPlasmaCMS2 Users we wanted to share this information to alert our Clients and raise awareness about this latest phishing scheme.

Safe browsing!
