I currently live 10 miles from the town of Sherman, TX where I was born and lived until May of 1951. I got back here in 1991 after merger changes with the company I worked for eliminated some offices in cost cutting moves.. I retired in Denison, TX on July 11, 2003 after 38 years (including 2 years in the Army).
I worked in these Texas towns: Grapevine, Farmers Branch, Plano, Irving, Tyler, Decatur, Gainesville, Waxahachie, and Sherman/Denison.
I was drafted into the army in December 2, 1966 in Dallas and got out in November, 1968 after going to basic at Fort Polk, LA, medical corp. training at Fort Sam Houston, tank training at Fort Hood, TX then finished with 12 months in Gelenhausen, Germany with the 1/33, Third Armor Division (their still defending us with last in Iraq-next Afganistan).

School Story:

My first year of school was in Capitan, NM where I had Mrs. Young all year for all classes. Kenney Wilson (Eugene) was also one of my first grade classmates as he lived near Capitan. I lived with my grandparents, on my mothers side, at a mountain lodge called Pine Lodge located next to Boy Scout Mountain. My brother and I both road the school bus that my grand dad drove to and from Capitan that also included a mail route and grocery getter assignment.
My second grade was at Washington Ave. but only lasted until mother remarried in October 1952. I followed with Roswell schools of Edgewood (1 1/2 years), Missouri Avenue (3 years), South Junior High (3) and good old RHS for 3 years....
I went to Texas Colleges: Tyler Junior College, University of TX at Tyler, and North Texas State in Denton, TX.....
I wish I appeared in the "Mrs Jordan's" class picture that Mike Reishman has posted on the web site but I may have already left for Edgewood.

Where did you go Grade School, JR High School

1stgrade: Capitan, nm, 2 grade: Washington Ave & Edgewood; 3-6, Missouri Ave.; South junior high 7-9; RHS 10-12.

Hi, Sue. Thank you for the birthday wishes you sent and back to you, by the way.
Somehow I get messages but my replies usually show, unable to deliver. I do really appreciate you and several that I get notes from! It seems Facebook does send my replies or comments as I see lots of when I see things I can reply to.
judy and I are starting to get out and ride around to see towns around us and many have really changed and not necessarily for the better. We have been coupes up with her cancer treatment for over 3 years. We found the doctors and clinics like to wear you out with a "never ending" plan so we ended it after we knew she was clear of cancer and we stopped all the medicine and doctors. I gets to be, "it's all about money".
We have been doing some yard work together on some things we wanted to do. We also have had some bad storms that really made it tough!

I am glad I got lots of birthday greetings but I have worked with many around here and many classmate sent s greeting. I also heard from two guys I was in the Army with and several relatives!
We love you and all the classmates!
