Shelly Forsberg, Rest In Peace  FORSBERG, Shelly Ann Passed away in Folsom, CA, June 12, 2004, surrounded by family and friends, after complications from a stroke. She is survived by her twin sister, Sherry; sisters, Jenny, Mary, and Caroline; stepfather, Bill; and other family and friends including Sharon, Jenny Jays, Ro, Ellen, Suzanne; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born April 22, 1945, in Sacramento, Shelly was a devoted daughter and sister, and a caring, compassionate human being. She was graced with a mischievous sense of humor and loved to tease, yet was the person friends and family turned to for advice and counsel. If you needed help of any kind, Shelly rolled up her sleeves. Her own interests included travel, gardening, golf, and tennis. In the last 15 years, she built four custom homes, often overseeing and coordinating the construction details herself. Employed by the State of California for 37 years, she retired in 2002 as a Staff Systems Manager with the Department of Corrections. A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 307 Montrose Drive in Folsom (985-2065). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association (www.strokeassociation.org) or the National Stroke Association (www.stroke.org).
