I was a hairdresser for 26 years (21 of those years in Roswell). When I moved to Arizona in the mid 80's, I realized I needed to go back to school. While working full time, school full time, one of my hair clients met the director of the NYU Allied Health program in NYC. I went to Ultrasound school there (that is a whole other story), then I got a job at New York Hospital, starting my second career at a premier hospital. I worked for NYH for 10 years, then started traveling, keeping my home base in Manhattan. I did contract work as a traveling sonographer, working in hospitals around the nation. After 15 years in Manhattan, I needed to stop the traveling, and moved back to the desert. I still work, thank God, but would enjoy being able to 'retire'....one day....
UPDATE!!
ATTENTION!! I did RETIRE in December. Yeah!!! Now I am RETIRED and BROKE!!

Marie and I knew each other from "way back when", attending the same church, etc.  She was multi-talented and a friend to all.  Did you know she had a beautiful singing voice?  What a lovely addition she is in heaven!   I'll miss receiving the yearly birthday card she unfailingly sent, and her upbeat comments on tis site.  Marie will  remain one of the special ones..always.
