Hundreds of years ago men beat the ground with clubs and cursed,it was called witch craft, today it is known as golf.

In the following message, I'll post a link to a criticism of non-budget items buried in the very long act.

"The first of these outrageous policies — buried in Section 70302 of the legislation— would severely restrict federal courts’ authority to hold government officials in contempt if they violate judicial orders.

…The second problematic provision — found within Section 43201(c) of the House reconciliation bill — would impose a 10-year ban on the enforcement of all state and local laws that regulate artificial intelligence (AI), including rules for AI’s use in political campaigns and elections.

Currently, more than 20 states have already enacted laws to address election misinformation and manipulation made easy by new AI tools. These laws are meant to address real challenges for our democracy, like fake content that misleads voters about the candidates or issues on their ballot."

Bill,

In going over the website attempting to see how I could get back into receiving the site message updates again, I looked at the In Memory page and found you listed as "deceased, year unknown."  Hope you are feeling better soon!

Rowland, tonight I emailed you a suggestion about another possible reason that you haven't been receiving RHS '63 notifications.  Alas, the email bounced.  Perhaps that's the source of your problem.  Since the content of the bounced email message might help others, I'll post in a following message,

As I described to Connie on 11/18/24, nonreception of emailed notifications from roswellnmelcoyote63.com can be an unintended result of one's email host's anti-spam measures.  For that kind of problem, I described back then solutions that usually work.

If you normally read your email on an Apple iPhone or iPad, Apple's 2025 updates to iOS and iPadOS (18.2 and later) may be autonomously categorizing your RHS '63 notifications into a category that you haven't been checking.  The article below describes Apple's changes (and how to resolve problems).

How to use or disable iOS Apple Mail's new categories feature

by Charles Martin

Apple Insider

Feb 06, 2025

"After updating to iOS 18.2 or later, the Mail app now categorizes incoming email into four broad categories. These are Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions.

The idea to automatically categorize incoming emails has been kicking around Apple for years. The feature was originally intended to debut in iOS 13, but awaited further development of Apple's machine learning and Apple Intelligence features in order to ensure the work was all done on-device.

In our experience, the Primary category works very well. Email from people in our contacts, time-sensitive notifications, and email from other individuals rather than companies tend to be seen here.

…In addition to Primary, the other categories are Transactions, Updates, and Promotions. In our experience, these categories need a bit of user training in order to reach their peak usefulness."

Had a similar problem in Class of 1962.  Turns out I had accidently blocked emails from ClassCreator.com.  Unblocked it and everything has been fine since.

You might check to see if you have blocked @roswellnmelcoyote63.com.

What a sad but important question to ask.

American policing has paid attention to the dangers faced on the job, from shootouts to ambushes, but it has long neglected a greater threat to officers: themselves.

What a sad but important question to ask.

I HAVE BEEN A RIDE ALONG. FROM ROSWELL TO CALIFORNIA. HOME ON LEAVE ONE YEAR, IT WAS NEW YEARS  EVE. I COULD HAVE GONE  DRINKING ETC. I DROVE AROUND TOWN. HAPPENED to SEE A ROSWELL  POLICE OFFICER  I KNEW. WE TALKED. HE SAID HOPE IN WE CAN TALK AS I DRIVE AROUND ETC. GOT A CALL AROUNG MIDNIGHT. HUSBAND SHOT. LONG STORY HIM AN HIS WIFE HAD BEEN OUT WITH FRIENDS. THEY GOT HOME THE WIFE WENT TO BED. WENT LOOKING FOR HER HUSBAND. HE WAS ON THE LIVEING ROOM FLOOR. DEAD HE HAD KILLED HIM SELF.  THEY ASKED THE WIFE IF SHE HAD ANY CLOSE FRIENDS CLOSE.  I WAS ASKED IF I WOULD TAKE HER OVER TO THEIR HOUSE. WHICH I DID.

I LET HER STAY IN THE CAR AND WALKED UP TO THE DOOR,(THIS AFTER MIDNIGHT)  I HAD TURNED ON THE SPOT LITE ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE  WERE THE COLD SEE ME. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT HER HUSBAND HAD PASSED AWAY FROM AN ACCIDENT. ALSO ASKED IF SHE COULD STAY WITH THEM. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND I DIDN'T HAVE A BADGE ETC. I WAS TOLD NOT TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPEND.

TO THIS DAY COME NEWS YEAR'S. SOMEOME WILL SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR'S.  I WILL REPLY BACK TO THEM AND MAKE A COMMENT.

BUT I WILL ALLWAYS HAVE THAT IN THE BACK OF MY MINE. JUST TO WRITE ABOUT IT BRINGS LOTS OF MEMORY'S . I KNOW WHAT IT HAS DONE TO ME. AND ABOUT THINGS I HAVE SEEN.

WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IT EFFECTS' POLICE OFFICERS LOTS OF DIFFERENT WAYS. NOW DAYS THEY DON'T HAVE THE SUPPORT LIKE THEY USE TO AN NEED IT.  NOW DAYS IF ONE GOES TO SEE A DOCTOR ETC. WORDS GETS AROUND.  I STILL REMEMBER A CAR  ACCIDENT. YOUNG BOY WAS KILLED I HAD STOPPED HELPING BLOCK TRAFFIC ETC.  WENT TO HELP THE MEDIC PUT THE YOUNG BOY IN THE AMBULANCE. THAT WHEN I NOTICED HALF HIS HEAD WAS GONE.

WHY AM I WRITING THIS. I KNOW WHAT POLICE OFFICERS GO THROUGH. SOME CAN TAKE IT SOME CAN'T  IT GETS TO A PERSON. I USE TO DRINK A LOT. GAVE IT UP MANY YEARS AGO. WENT TO MANY FUNERALS.  I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY.

Let's not the forget Veterans.  They are the reason we can live in the land of the free.  It is really sad how they are mostly set to one side and  forgotten.

And their suicide rate is the highest in the land.  The most recent numbers have Veteran suicide deaths at an average of 17.6  PER DAY.

According to Military Times, more than 84,000 veterans have died as the result of suicide since 2010. That is more than the combined combat deaths of U.S. troops in the Vietnam, Iraqi and Afghanistan wars combined.

The Department estimates there are about one million unenrolled veterans from those conflicts.

While the 6,407 veteran suicides in 2022 was lower than 12 of the previous 14 years, the age-adjusted suicide rate for male veterans rose 1.6%.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says that healthy children do not need to receive routine Covid shots.

Maybe they are healthy because they received vaccines, including Covid. RFK Jr scares me as much as Trump, if not more.  If you have grandkids in school, I think you want all the students vaccinated to protect themselves AND the others.

The research on vaccines is thorough and incontrovertible.

And no, don't forget the vets or first responders,  ever.
