Bill, my angiogram is scheduled for Wed July 26.  Kinda looking forward to this and hope the procedure allows for better blood flow. Good luck with your EKG.

Don, Dick, Bruce.  My doctor has gone through much of the explanations of the procedure plus many of the things that can go wrong. I turned my hearing aids off, my mind wandered off to the nurses' station and I have no idea what bad things he had to say. Last I heard, "Bob, you're gonna do good. This way out".

Let's giitter done!

My wife, Jan and I are plannning to attend the 60th Reunion in mid September.  She graduated from Las Cruces High School with the class of 1964 and attended UNM before we met during summer school in 1966 at NMSU.  She visited Roswell only a couple of times before our wedding so the names, faces, places will all be new to her.  We're also grateful for the labors invested by Lucy, Linda and Dick to put this celebration together.  We're fortunate as a class to have a 60th Reunion celebration which is not experienced by many folks!

It is very special to be able to get together for our 60th. Do we have a site selected for the events yet? Would like to get hotel reservations close by. Thanks for all the hard work.

A man was asked to paint a boat. He brought his paint and brushes and began to paint the boat a bright red, as the owner asked him.

While painting, he noticed a small hole in the hull, and quietly repaired it.

When he finished painting, he received his money and left.

The next day, the owner of the boat came to the painter and presented him with a nice check, much higher than the payment for painting.

The painter was surprised and said “You've already paid me for painting the boat Sir!”

“But this is not for the paint job. It's for repairing the hole in the boat.”

“Ah! But it was such a small service... certainly it's not worth paying me such a high amount for something so insignificant.”

“My dear friend, you do not understand. Let me tell you what happened:

“When I asked you to paint the boat, I forgot to mention the hole.

“When the boat dried, my kids took the boat and went on a fishing trip.

“They did not know that there was a hole. I was not at home at that time.

“When I returned and noticed they had taken the boat, I was desperate because I remembered that the boat had a hole.

“Imagine my relief and joy when I saw them returning from fishing.

“Then, I examined the boat and found that you had repaired the hole!

“You see, now, what you did? You saved the life of my children! I do not have enough money to pay your 'small' good deed.”

So no matter who, when or how, continue to help, sustain, wipe tears, listen attentively, and carefully repair all the 'leaks' you find. You never know when one is in need of us, or when God holds a pleasant surprise for us to be helpful and important to someone.

Along the way, you may have repaired numerous 'boat holes' for several people without realizing how many lives you've save. ❤️

Make a difference....be the best you...

Good morning.
I might possibly miss the reunion. I just had open heart surgery, 3 bypass, and an ablasion where I apparently had a heart attack before. I am going well a looking forward to taking the Mississippi River Cruise in November.

Bob, please let me know how your ablation goes.  After recovering from full knee replacement, docs are doing an ablation on my heart.  Never realised how much maintenance was involved in keeping these old bodies functional after age 75!

Bob-- I hope you have a swift and successful recovery. I believe you will feel better than you did before the procedure.

Webb—as you probably know, there is a trove of good online information about cardiac ablation. I usually go to the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic websites first for information on procedures, etc. Of course, there are others such as The American Heart Institute.

Or, go to Trump’s website for sagacious advice. ;- )

And yes. I’ve had a cardiac ablation for A-fib, now about 4 months ago. There are certainly worse procedures and this one is relatively mild. They will likely get you on the table early and keep you in bed for several hours to be sure the small incision in a vein (to insert a cannula) does not bleed--that was the worst part.

I recommend a Guinness after they release you (they will tell you not to do this but I ignored it).
