WE ARE A GENERATION THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK.

A generation that walked to school and then walked back.

A generation that did their homework alone to get out asap to play in the street.

A generation that spent all their free time in the streets with their Friends.

A generation that played hide and seek when dark.

A generation that made mud cakes.

A generation that collected sports cards.

A generation that found, collected and washed & Returned empty coke bottles to the local grocery store for 5 cents each , then bought a Mountain Dew and candy bar with the money.

A generation that made paper toys with their bare hands.

A generation who bought vinyl albums to play on record players.

A generation that collected photos and albums of clippings of their life experiences as a Kid.

A generation that played board games and cards on rainy days.

A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem.

A generation that had parents who were there.

A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn't know we were still awake.

A generation that is passing and unfortunately will never return no matter how hard we try.

I loved Growing up when I did. it was the best of times.

Something has to change as far as the debt ceiling dilemma.  I am happy to say that any solution will not effect my financial situation, but I feel so sorry for future generations if we don't make some "hard" choices now.  I believe past history is not correct with our divided nation now.

⚡THIS IS A CLASSIC!!!⚡

Liberals and so called ‘progressives’ are destroying the educational system. We have seen time and time again that there is a major assault on Christianity, Southern heritage, support for our military, and our very own American flag. Also, they have managed to convey the message that this generation has THE RIGHT NOT TO BE OFFENDED.

Confused? Let me explain.

The left has managed to make major ‘progress’ in limiting our First Amendment Rights. The right of free speech. And they have convinced people that anything- ANYTHING that offends you is unacceptable and should NOT be allowed to be said.

The left wants to abolish any opposing views.

ADVERTISEMENT - STORY CONTINUES BELOW

This from  at our friends from Young Conservatives

[Insanity] like this is causing our nation to stagnate as we can’t hash anything out on the Battlefield of Ideas, allowing opposing views to go head-to-head in order for what’s good, right, and true to come up to the surface.

Well, one college professor has had enough of the nonsense, opting to give his students an introduction to his class they won’t soon forget.

Oh, and did I mention this is going viral? When you see it, you’ll understand why.

ADVERTISEMENT - STORY CONTINUES BELOW

Let’s take a look at this fine display of awesomeness shall we?

This from Mike Adams at Townhall:

Welcome back to class, students! I am Mike Adams your criminology professor here at UNC-Wilmington. Before we get started with the course I need to address an issue that is causing problems here at UNCW and in higher education all across the country. I am talking about the growing minority of students who believe they have a right to be free from being offended. If we don’t reverse this dangerous trend in our society there will soon be a majority of young people who will need to walk around in plastic bubble suits to protect them in the event that they come into contact with a dissenting viewpoint. That mentality is unworthy of an American. It’s hardly worthy of a Frenchman.

Let’s get something straight right now. You have no right to be unoffended. You have a right to be offended with regularity. It is the price you pay for living in a free society. If you don’t understand that you are confused and dangerously so. In part, I blame your high school teachers for failing to teach you basic civics before you got your diploma. Most of you went to the public high schools, which are a disaster. Don’t tell me that offended you. I went to a public high school.

Whoa. You can just imagine how the liberal students reacted to this.

I will say that I attended public schools, however back then we weren’t infiltrated by sickening liberalism so we were taught by quality, America loving teachers- at least for the most part!

Okay, here’s more:

Of course, your high school might not be the problem. It is entirely possible that the main reason why so many of you are confused about free speech is that piece of paper hanging on the wall right over there. Please turn your attention to that ridiculous document that is framed and hanging by the door. In fact, take a few minutes to read it before you leave class today. It is our campus speech code. It specifically says that there is a requirement that everyone must only engage in discourse that is “respectful.” That assertion is as ludicrous as it is illegal. I plan to have that thing ripped down from every classroom on campus before I retire.

One of my grandfathers served in World War I. My step-grandfather served in World War II. My sixth great grandfather enlisted in the American Revolution when he was only thirteen. These great men did not fight so we could simply relinquish our rights to the enemy within our borders. That enemy is the Marxists who run our public universities. If you are a Marxist and I just offended you, well, that’s tough. I guess they don’t make communists like they used to.

So, who exactly deems what type of free speech is considered ‘respectful?’ Only the extreme leftist? Only a liberal moron that insists that you believe what THEY believe? And if you disagree with their warped point of view, you are VIOLATING their so called “speech code?”

ADVERTISEMENT - STORY CONTINUES BELOW

That’s insane.

Adams goes on to recount a story about a time when he was explaining the Declaration of Independence and a student whined and complained about his mentioning “God” and a “Creator” as being a violation of church and state, totally proving beyond a shadow of a doubt they have NO CLUE what that concept really means.

He then goes into an absolutely brutal breakdown of what folks offended by the Declaration can do with themselves.

Unbelievably, a student once complained to the Department chairwoman that my mention of God and a Creator was a violation of Separation of Church and State. Let me be as clear as I possibly can: If any of you actually think that my decision to paraphrase the Declaration of Independence in the course syllabus is unconstitutional then you suffer from severe intellectual hernia.

Indeed, it takes hard work to become stupid enough to think the Declaration of Independence is unconstitutional. If you agree with the student who made that complaint then you are probably just an anti-religious zealot. Therefore, I am going to ask you to do exactly three things and do them in the exact order that I specify.

First, get out of my class. You can fill out the drop slip over at James Hall. Just tell them you don’t believe in true diversity and you want to be surrounded by people who agree with your twisted interpretation of the Constitution simply because they are the kind of people who will protect you from having your beliefs challenged or your feelings hurt.

Second, withdraw from the university. If you find that you are actually relieved because you will no longer be in a class where your beliefs might be challenged then you aren’t ready for college. Go get a job building houses so you can work with some illegal aliens who will help you gain a better appreciation of what this country has to offer.

Finally, if this doesn’t work then I would simply ask you to get the hell out of the country. The ever-growing thinned-skinned minority you have joined is simply ruining life in this once-great nation. Please move to some place like Cuba where you can enjoy the company of communists and get excellent health care. Just hop on a leaky boat and start paddling your way towards utopia. You will not be missed.

HELL YEAH!

That was absolutely SPOT ON! If people don’t like it here then GET THE HELL OUT!

Summing it up,  nails it noting that Adams is giving young people who have had their brains saturated in the raw sewage of progressiveness the only cure for the illness that’s infected their minds, and at first, it stings like a mother, but in the long run, this dose of truth will do them good.

Ha! Spot on brother.

No one has the right to not be offended, and the political correctness pouring out of modern culture and academia is what is causing the stagnation of our country in every area of life.

I sincerely hope these words sink deep into the skulls and chest cavities of students the country over and help shake them awake from the liberal coma they’re currently trapped in before its too late.

NOVA, JUST GIVE ME TIME, I WILL PICK ON THE RIGHT, JUST WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME.devil

Bill, I am not sure why you pick on the left.  All they want is to get rid of the Electoral College.  That way a few states can choose who is elected President.

Make it where each state can have at least one Senator, but states will have more Senators based on populations.

Have as many Supreme Court Justices needed to have a majority of left Justices.

Anyone can vote without proving that they are a citizen.

Hello Bill,

Wow, Mike Adams and Townhall (I’d never heard of either). Such a diatribe by Adams.

I really don't know what to say except during 40+ years in higher education I never known of an instructor speaking to students (and threatening them) like this—my way or the highway- and I certainly never was on a campus run like is claimed. I have been on a number of  various college and university campuses around the country and in Canada.

Have some schools gone overboard with an extreme “PC” agenda?   Yes, a few.  Probably about the same number as those overboard with an extreme far-right agenda. I could name examples of both—my opinion of course.

I’ve never seen or heard of this: .....Marxists who run our public universities.  Never!!!!  Where did that spurious allegation come from?

Have I known some imprudent, caustic, unwise, bully professors—like Adams? Yes, a few (very rare, I’d add), but far more are good, intelligent, caring professionals who do a marvelous job of helping students learn to think, communicate, and create—to identify problems and develop solutions.  To create art (of all kinds) and produce knowledge as bourgeoning artists and scholars. College courses work best when experiential learning (aka learning by doing) is the modus operendi. Most are like that.

I’ve known a few "out-there"nuts like Adams from most walks of life —haven’t we all?

I was curious so I “googled” these.

Townhall is an American politically conservative website, print magazine and radio news service. Previously published by The Heritage Foundation, it is now owned and operated by Salem Communications. The website features more than 80 columns by a variety of writers and commentators. Wikipedia

Mike S. Adams was born in Columbus, Mississippi on October 30, 1964. While a student at Clear Lake High School in Houston, TX, his team won the state 5A soccer championship. Adams graduated from C.L.H.S. in 1983 with a 1.8 GPA. He was ranked 734 among a class of 740, largely as a result of flunking English all four years of high school. (and so on but it does get better, some-- sic).   https://townhall.com/columnists/mikeadams/

Finally, it makes me very sad when good folks think so poorly of education and teachers today. Teaching is a tough, low-pay profession carried out by impressive, dedicated, hard-working people. If not retired from the pilot’s job there, I’d invite you to attend a class or two at our local university and see what you think.

It’s Miller time in Montana.

A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane ...

Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney.

The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes..

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.

A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'

The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Max would Like to stretch his legs.'

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog!

The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.

People scattered.

They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story...

Have a great day and remember...

...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!!

Hello Nova,

You wrote: Bill, I am not sure why you pick on the left.  All they want is to get rid of the Electoral College.  That way a few states can choose who is elected President. (Many citizens, like me, see the college as outdated and would prefer those who vote elect the president, directly. Why not?)

Make it where each state can have at least one Senator, but states will have more Senators based on populations. (How about one senator per state? While at it, cut the size of the house in half as well—I just thought of this one. Do we really need all those suits in D.C. What do they cost us as taxpayers?)

Have as many Supreme Court Justices needed to have a majority of left Justices. ( I don’t think this will be seriously considered in our lifetime; do you?)

Anyone can vote without proving that they are a citizen. (This really is a gordian knot. I think only citizens should vote in our elections. How can it be proven? Managed- fairly & efficiently to ensure all citizens can vote?).

Dick this article was written in 2021 when the Democrats wanted control of the Supreme Court.

CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS PLAN to unveil legislation expanding the size of the Supreme Court on Thursday, according to three congressional sources familiar with the closely held measure. The bill would add four seats to the high court, bringing the total to 13 from the current nine. The bill is led by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler, subcommittee Chair Hank Johnson, and first-term Rep. Mondaire Jones. In the Senate, the bill is being championed by Ed Markey of Massachusetts. –

It would be hard to get it passed through Congress but that doesn’t mean they are not trying.

I think it would be easy to prove citizenship or proof of who you are.  Approved drivers ID for people who drive, birth certificates, passports or even having a Federal ID.  A lot of states have State ID cards.

I do know that dropping ballots in drop boxes isn’t a secure way to vote.

Dick,

I try not to discuss politics, since everyone is so entrenched, me included.

But, I could not let the electoral college discussion go, without this great visual of why we have one.

I love this Doctor! (sorry if you have seen this-it is like me, old. The author had a little trouble with writing )

From: William Bailey (sent to me by him via email)

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life.   Is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and thats it...  Don't waste on exercise.   Everything wears out eventually.   Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster.   Want to live longer?  Take nap.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A:  No, not at all.   Wine made from fruit.   Brandy is distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way.   Beer also made of grain.   Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one.   If you have two bodies, your ratio two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of single one, sorry.   My philosophy is: No pain...good!

Q:  Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A:  YOU NOT LISTENING!  Food are fried these day in vegetable oil.   In fact, they permeated by it.   How could getting more vegetable be bad for you?!?

Q:  Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not!  When you exercise muscle, it get bigger.   You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q:  Is chocolate bad for me?
A:  Are you crazy?!?  HEL-LO-O!!  Cocoa bean!  Another vegetable!  It best feel-good food around!

Q:  Is swimming good for your figure?
A:  If swimming good for your figure, explain whale to me.

Q:  Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A:  Hey!  'Round' is shape!

Well...I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

AND.....

For  those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health.   It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1.  The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2.  The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3.  The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4.  The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans..

5.  The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION:  Eat and drink what you like.  Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
