My take on Biden’s State of the Union
Biden picked everything that is going bad because of his administration and said he would fix it.
I think he listened to an old Trump speech and said, I will talk about that, immigration, stronger boarders, mask, kids back in school, inflation, funding the police etc. I am surprised he didn’t mention a stronger court system to take the people breaking the law off the street. I hope it is more than just a speech and becomes a change in policy. Biden mentioned he will open some of the oil reserves to help with the oil shortage. Wouldn’t it be better if he opened up drilling, let them finish the keystone pipeline instead? I know he is for the new green deal but is buying oil from other countries less green than using our own oil?
Dick - Trump said - Putin is “pretty smart,” Mr. Trump said on Wednesday at a Florida fund-raiser, assessing the impending invasion like a real estate deal. “He’s taken over a country for $2 worth of sanctions,” he said, “taking over a country — really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people — and just walking right in.”
It doesn’t say what Putin is doing is right, I read it as him saying that the way Putin is doing it is pretty smart for him. In my opinion, Putin is a bully/thug and saw us and NATO as being weak. He is trying to take advantage of the situation and is finding out that NATO and the US are standing together with sanctions. The people of Ukraine are a tough people and will fight hard. Russia has a vast army and may prevail in the end. Many innocent and heroic Ukrainian people will die.
I think Biden is at fault because of not being decisive. I don’t think Putin would have invaded Ukraine if we would have had a stronger President.
