Nancy Lee Edgar VIEW PROFILE

Bill, I received the following disappointing email message from Lee's youngest sister, Debbie: I'm sorry to say, Lee passed away in 1990 after an unsuccessful bone marrow transplant. Her husband, Hanley Jackson has also passed away. They were living in Manhattan Kansas where Hanley was a composer and Professor of Music at Kansas State University where he founded the Electronic Music Studio and the Comprehensive Musicianship Program. They are survived by their son, Sean Jackson, who's an extremely talented Architect, living in Colorado.

Lee was one of the kindest and most talented people I have ever known.  I knew her well, and even after 50 years of no contact, I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing 24 years ago.  I have often thought of her with fondness over these years, and shall continue to do so, as shall so many of her classmates.  The heavens are dimmer without Lee's star.

I performed with Lee in both Carosel and South Pacific during 1962 and 1963.  She was,by far, the most talented actress in the casts.  I just knew she would go on to greatness as a performer.  I'm so sorry to hear that see is no longer with us.  I will never forget her!

Lee was one of the nicest members of our choir.  I too worked with her in the musicals RHS chorus put on.  She was taken from this life way too early.

She was absolutely a wonderfully talented person!!  I have often thought of her, and wondered where she was, etc.  I am sad that she and husband are gone.  Such a great loss of beauty and talent.

Thanks for posting.

Of all the leading ladies in the RHS musicals that I participated in, Lee inspired me above all others.  She was perfect in every role!  Away from the shows, she was the same sweet, beautiful person.  I am thankful that I was given the opportunity to know her in this life.
